How to Break Free from Hindrances and Overcome Delay.
There is a spiritual war over your destiny. Every time you step into a new level of purpose, the enemy raises barriers to keep you trapped in cycles of delay, limitation, and stagnation. But today, by the power of God’s Word, every demonic embargo, every invisible chain, every satanic resistance against your life shall be shattered in Jesus’ name!
It is time to rise up, shake off complacency, and break free from every spiritual hindrance that has kept you bound. No more delay. No more frustration. No more unanswered prayers. Your time of breakthrough is now!
The Effects of Hindrances and Delay
Hindrances do not just slow you down—they are designed to wear you out, steal your faith, and keep you from fulfilling God’s assignment. If you feel like you are fighting unseen forces, struggling to move forward despite your efforts, or watching others advance while you remain stagnant, you are dealing with spiritual hindrances.
1. Demonic Resistance – The Battle in the Spirit Realm
There are demonic forces assigned to block your progress. Some delays are not natural—they are the result of unseen warfare in the spirit. The Bible gives us a powerful example in Daniel 10:12-13:
“Then he said to me, ‘Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia.'” (Daniel 10:12-13, NKJV)
Daniel prayed, and God answered immediately—but a demonic prince blocked his breakthrough for 21 days. This means that even when your answer is released from heaven, spiritual forces may try to hinder its manifestation. But today, I decree that every demonic delay against your destiny shall be destroyed!
2. Mental and Emotional Hindrances – The Battle in Your Mind
Many believers are held back by fear, doubt, and discouragement. The enemy whispers lies, making you believe that your situation will never change. But the Bible declares in 2 Timothy 1:7:
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
You have been given power! Fear is not your portion. Stagnation is not your destiny. You were created to walk in dominion. It is time to cast off every mental stronghold and embrace the mind of Christ.
3. Hope Deferred – The Spirit of Delay and Frustration
There is nothing more exhausting than waiting on God while seeing no results. Prolonged waiting without manifestation can weaken faith, leading to disappointment and despair. Proverbs 13:12 warns:
“Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when the desire comes, it is a tree of life.”
If you have been waiting for years and still see no breakthrough, I prophesy over you: The season of delay is over! What has been withheld from you shall be released suddenly. What has been blocked shall be unblocked. What was stolen shall be restored. The God of divine acceleration is about to move!
4. Disobedience – The Hindrance We Must Remove
Sometimes, the delay is not from the devil, but from our own choices. God moves when we align ourselves with His Word. Deuteronomy 28:1-2 says:
“Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God.”
Disobedience creates blockages. If God has given you instructions, obey quickly! Your next level is connected to your obedience.
How to Break Free from Hindrances and Overcome Delay
1. Engage in Violent Prayer and Spiritual Warfare
Hindrances are broken through aggressive, targeted prayer. Do not accept delay—rise up and fight! Ephesians 6:12 declares:
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
Your battle is not natural; it is spiritual. You must rise up in prayer and command every blockade to be removed.
2. Speak the Word of God Over Your Life
Stop speaking words of defeat and stagnation. Declare the promises of God! Isaiah 43:19 says:
“Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”
God is making a way for you right now! Declare it, believe it, and walk in it.
3. Fast and Consecrate Yourself
Some hindrances require fasting. Jesus said in Matthew 17:21:
“However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”
If you are experiencing stubborn delays, set aside time to fast and seek God. Fasting breaks yokes and releases divine intervention.
4. Take Prophetic Action
Faith without works is dead. If God has told you to move, take action! Sometimes, a breakthrough comes when you step forward in obedience. James 2:26 reminds us:
“For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”
Move forward by faith, and God will meet you on the way!
